Sawyer's first Christmas was so fun.

I got a PS3 on Christmas Eve and on Christmas day I got Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

I didn't have a chance to play until today, but when I tried, it wouldn't connect. My signal strength is 100% so it has nothing to do with the internet connection. I go to 'multiplayer' and then i go to 'play online.' After that, I get an 'online status' box. It says, "Fetching playlists... Updating Rank & Unlocks... Connecting to Matchmaking Server..." But it doesn't go away. I've been on my PS3 for 4 hours and I haven't been able to get past this box. If someone invites me to a game, it just says, "Connecting to Matchmaking Server..." and doesn't connect.

Has anyone ever had this problem?
Do you know how to solve it?

Titanic sucked, too.

I say we dust off and nuke the site from orbit. Its the only way to be sure. -- Lt. Ellen Ripley

Does James Cameron think we are all stupid hippies???

Avatar was a worthless piece of horse shit film making. I don't give a fuck how beautiful the F/X are. Don't you think one of the humans of Avatar would have remembered that they came to Pandora on fucking space ships? That they have overwhelming technical and tactical superiority? Ripley was right. You rain down a few low yield nuclear devices onto the Hometree and... voila! Problem solved. Or, if nukes aren't the way you want to go, why not just engineer the Na'vi equivalent of smallpox and the Eywa analog of Agent Orange and let orbital mechanics take care of the rest? Are these people supposed to be humans or a bunch of fucking pussies? Watching this overlong eye candy snore-fest was like watching the British Army engaging the Zulus and completely forgetting about using their Martini-Henry rifles, their cannons, or their Gatling gun.

Where to buy foam in Canada

  • Dec. 27th, 2009 at 11:02 PM
Hi.

I have seen tons of posts about buying your foam at Joann's. The only problem is, I live in Canada and if we do have them here, there are none close to me.

I have everything to make my suit, but the foam.

In my city I have a fabircland, Michaels and Wal Mart. Fabricland has some upholstery foam, but they only sell 1". I bought some to make feet paws, and it's not very good. It doesn't carve easily, and I have to glue the pieces together to get the size I need.

Where can I get foam? I don't care if I have to order it online.

Thanks.

Spending Christmas night in the emergency room being treated for carbon monoxide poisoning has prompted me to ask the following questions:

  1. Do you have a carbon monoxide detector in your home?

  2. Have you checked the batteries recently?

  3. Can you recognise the common symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning?

Three questions for the price of one. What a bargain.

Pokemon Grab Bag Event.

  • Dec. 27th, 2009 at 9:42 PM
Firstly: sorted through Digimon items; those who initially asked me for Digimon items, I've sorted through your wants and tried to get you as many items as I could find for your preferred Digimon. Everyone should be getting at least one Digimon related item (if not more) in their packages so please note this when I give you your shipping estimates/charges. I won't tell you what the item is because it'll be a nice surprise when you receive it. :>

Down to business:

Figured I would start early - that way I can get some people's items out to them by mid-week/end of the week; ANYWAYS:

Things to know aka Rules

- One bag per person - each bag will contain 3 items (no more, no less); the items will be a mixture of kids/smaller trinkets. Note: These items will be pulled at random so no asking for one certain kid or another.

- The grab bag is free; however, you will have to pay for shipping + materials

- EVERYONE can participate; however, once items are gone, they are gone.

- I will try to fulfill everyone's grab bag request; however, there are only so many items which is why I ask that people who had claims from the first order (that contained more than one item) to please let others go ahead of you.

- I will keep filling up bags until there is nothing to put in them and then go down the list of people as the requests come in (aka, first come, first serve).

- Plz no drama; please remember that these are totally free of cost and no one has real right to one thing or another. Also remember that I'm just one person and I can only do so much. D:

Begin!

Is there any quality about you that hasn't really applied for quite a long time (let's say years) that people REFUSE to stop associating with you despite the fact that they should know?

Since that is so awkwardly worded, here are my examples: I wore glasses all through elementary school. I got contacts in 7th grade and wore them on and off until right before I entered high school, when I started wearing them almost exclusively. I haven't worn my glasses in public more than a handful of times in more than 5 years. Yet people (most family members or friends of my mother) who see me fairly often, as in several times a year, still ask 'where are your glasses?' in a scandalized manner every time they see me. Several times a year. When I wasn't wearing glasses the last time they saw me and screamed that exact same thing.
I also was a picky eater as a child, and for a while didn't eat meat at all. This literally has not been true for a DECADE, yet people still react with shock if I eat something with red sauce or beef in it. Because clearly, I've been sustaining myself on carrot sticks for nearly 20 years?

I'd kind of like them to be like my more observant relatives and make inappropriate comments on how big my boobs have gotten or how much weight I've gained/lost at this point.

Cowboys versus Redskins Indians. Yippeekayay, motherfuckers.
Last week I made homemade macaroni and cheese using Tasha Tudor's recipe. We really loved the mac and cheese, but it uses Velveeta for half of the cheese in the recipe (the other half is grated cheddar). I've been becoming more and more opposed to using processed foods, and after watching "Food Inc." last night, I'm really hoping to find a substitution for the Velveeta in the recipe.

Any suggestions?
